About Clay

Fanconi: DNA Tested probable CARRIER
Clay’s hips OFA’d EXCELLENT at 15 years of age
Clay is 31% Avongara
Sire: Am. CH SunDiata Sir Ochre Dutton (SDHR)
Dam: Sage
Whelped: 11.29.2000
Death: 11.25.2016
Breeder/Owner/Handler: sinbajé

Clay was returned to sinbajé in August 2006 after almost 6 years of living with his previous owners. To say I was disappointed that a placement I made was not life long is an understatement. He integrated well with the existing pack which was a good thing as my husband had no intention of allowing him to leave.  Rand’s nickname for Clay was the “Diplomat!”

Health

The OFA is a not-for-profit organization originally created to assist breeders in decreasing hip dysplasia. The OFA offers PUBLIC health databases/registries to assist breeders in assessing numerous other heritable concerns in their respective breeds. Reputable breeders health test and use the OFA as a means to display their progress.

To view Clay’s public OFA health testing results, visit the OFA.

NOTE: Not every sinbajé test result is sent in – contact us if you have any questions.

Career Highlights

LURE COURSING:
Clay quickly earned his JC title and took a shot at coursing with competition. Alas, he was excused for interference. To keep from ruining another’s experience Clay was retired from all coursing/racing. He did managed to garner 6 points towards the ASFA FCH and one JOR leg in NOTRA before being retired.

AGILITY:
Clay started agility at the age of 6 which sadly meant he aged out with 4 QQ’s and 136 MACH points. He was able to earn both master titles before retiring.

OBEDIENCE:
Clay finished his CD with 3 class placements. He did not care too much for the dumbbell so I did not pursue his CDX title.

RALLY:
Clay retired with his Rally Advance title.
